(MOC) Forest Stream

This is a unique new model for me. I haven't done too many environment MOCs before, so this was an interesting challenge.

My original intention was to use two transparent door elements as the surface of a small pool, but the dimensions didn't work out, leaving a slight gap of around one stud. However, the hinged sections where the doors usually attach to frames meant that they couldn't be placed flush with each other. Because of this, I had to use 1x2x2 window panes in trans light blue for the surface of the water, and this looked quite good to me. The addition of a 1x4x6 windowpane and some tiles near the front gave it a more dynamic look. The problem with the model, though, was that the dark tan base with its few scattered cheese slopes looked a bit bland. And so I proceeded to use nearly all of my smaller plant elements to create a thick undergrowth for the forest floor. I was fairly satisfied with the model at this point, until I noticed a small tablescrap of a tree in my building space. I added this to the back of the model, and built a similar tree for the front right side.
The tree is built with a technique I haven't seen used before, utilizing olive green exo-force arms to form a gnarled trunk, spiked vine elements for the leaves, and a reddish brown whip for a smooth vine. The other tree is similar but less interesting.
